Listen To KALW Live
I am a staff announcer for KALW 91.7FM in San Francisco - the first FM signal west of the Mississippi, which began broadcasting as an experimental radio station for the San Francisco Unified School District in 1941.  KALW is an NPR affiliate, broadcasting a wide variety of music, news, and informational programming.

As arts and cultural producer, I host Open Air, KALW's weekly radio magazine of the performing arts, heard live on Thursday afternoons at 1pm (and archived here).  I also act as host for Explorations in Music and the Berkeley Symphony broadcasts, and have hosted and produced the radio series From the Conservatory, Music from Mills, and Music at Menlo.

I began my broadcasting career in 2000 at WNYC, New York's signature public radio station.

Since 2012, I have been host of "Open Air" on KALW, a weekly interview program about the performing arts, which was created by my late colleague and fellow arts lover, Alan Farley.  Listen live on Thursday afternoons at 1pm (Pacific Time) via kalw.org, or check out the archived shows for listening anytime.
